Savannah – Gwendolyn B. Parker, 87, died May 2, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Tattnall County, Georgia, daughter of the late James D. and Mabel Bridges. Mrs. Parker lived most of her life in Savannah and was retired employee with Punch and Judy. She was a member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church where she was active as a greeter and the Busy Bees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Hugh Parker, Jr.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Annette P. and John Gnann of Savannah; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. and Paulette Parker of Richmond Hill; Eli Hugh Parker, III and Jan Parker of Hurst, TX; Barry V. Parker of Savannah; sister, Obinelle Plummer of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend William G. Hester officiating.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
